  -- BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Athletic Association has announced plans for an official tribute event to mark the one year anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombing. The event, hosted jointly by Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Governor Deval Patrick in coordination with One Fund Boston, will be held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston on April 15, 2014.

According to reports, the “Love & Hip-Hop” star was shot three times on the highway in his hometown of Boston. He was taken to South Shore Hospital, with non-fatal injuries, officials said.   -- Friday night March 28, 2014, debuted the MBTA's extended hour service by ninety minutes for Rapid Transit and Key Bus Routes on Friday and Saturday nights. The last Red/Orange/Green/Blue Line trains depart downtown stations at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday nights and approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Individual schedules for each station and route can vary. For example, the last GreeLine and Red Line trains are scheduled to depart Park Street Station between 2:24 a.m. and 2:36 a.m.

  -- BOSTON (CBS/AP) — A 9-alarm fire on Beacon Street has claimed the lives of two Boston firefighters. The fire broke out around 2:30 p.m. at 298 Beacon Street. Several mayday calls were made. The firefighters who died have been identified as 43-year-old Lt. Ed Walsh and 33-year-old Firefighter Michael Kennedy of Engine 33. Lt. Walsh, of West Roxbury, was married and a father of three young children, two boys and one girl. He has been with the Boston Fire Department for nine and a half years. Effective Saturday, March 22nd MBTA's Government Center on the Green & Blue Line will be shut down for the next 2 years for a $90 million major renovation project to the 100 year old station part of Scollay Square in Downtown Boston that will effect passengers who takes the (T) into work everyday and uses that particular station to get to and from their destination. The new Government Center Station will include new platforms, tile walls & new handicap accessible elevators and a 'state of the art' glass entrance to the station that will replace the old style entrance into the station.

-- DETROIT -- A judge lifted the bench warrant issued last week for Grammy Award-winning singer Anita Baker during an emergency hearing in Wayne County Circuit Court on Monday. "We asked for the emergency hearing because the court had issued a bench warrant for Ms. Baker's arrest," her attorney Jamal Hamood said. "That was the first time Ms. Baker had heard of the lawsuit that had been filed against her in 2011." He said she wasn't served with the lawsuit and didn't find out there was a default judgment in the civil case until last week.

BOSTON (CBS) — A 9-alarm fire on Beacon Street has claimed the lives of two firefighters. The fire broke out around 2:30 p.m. at 298 Beacon Street. Several mayday calls were made. Sources tell WBZ-TV, two firefighters were killed in the fire. Boston EMS says 17 patients in total have been taken to the hospital. Several of the patients were taken to Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospital. Beth Israel Hospital tells WBZ they are caring for seven patients, six of those patients are listed in “good” condition and one in “fair.”
